Happy
Days Goat Dairy has been producing goat milk products since 1993.
We started as a small business, milking 70 goats and supplying local
stores only. Today, we process the milk of about 6000 milking goats.
We operate from 2 locations. Our fluid milk is produced in Chilliwack,
BC. Four farmers supply this new and efficient plant all major grocery
stores in BC and Alberta are supplied from our Chilliwack plant.
All
our cheese and specialty products, such as yogurt, ice cream and butter
are produced in our plant on our farm in Salmon Arm, BC. Three farmers
supply this plant.
We
follow very high quality guidelines. Professional handling of the milk
starts on the farm, transportation, and receiving at the plant. Our
plant is in the process of setting up a HACCP plan. HACCP means Hazard
Analysis Critical Control Point, and tries to avoid all the factors
that could endanger the food safety of the product. For years goat milk
didn't have a very good reputation. We believe that we have proved that
goat milk products taste great and benefit many people who suffer dairy
allergies.
Professional
handling of all steps in the process, ensures the quality of our
exquisite products. All our products are made without any preservatives
or other artificial ingredients.
