We are looking for a strong team player that excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Reporting to Director, Sales and Marketing, the Sales Support and Customer Service Administrator is primarily responsible for arranging the efficient and economic delivery of all Happy Days product sales worldwide and working as the key customer liaison facilitating customer requests and inquiries, order processing, supplies sourcing, completion of shipping documentation and sales order invoicing. Other duties include creating opportunities for product line awareness and market growth through participation at special events.
Primary Tasks and Duties:
• Provide superior and consistent customer service by adhering to corporate customer service standards.
• Facilitating product sales, invoicing sales orders.
• Managing sales leads, distribution of product information, communicating effectively with distributor partners
• Answering customer calls and emails, responding to inquiries
• Act as the key customer liaison to maintain good long-term customer relations
• Report generation, sales summaries
• Maintenance of price lists, product lists and company information.
• Manage GS1 Canada account and others as necessary.
• Participation in events as required to demonstrate and sample products, interact with customers to generate new opportunities.
• Scheduling of shipments economically and efficiently. Ensuring all documentation including invoicing and shipping
manifests are complete and accurate and presented to customer in accordance with the sales contract. Maintains records of schedules and keeps all parties informed of shipment movements.
• Proactively finds cost effective solutions to problems that may impede customer deliveries, paperwork and account issues.
• Postal mail management.
• Prepare and make bank deposits.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and customer service
• Diploma, College or University degree in the area of sales, marketing, business administration or accounting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food processing, food safety and logistics plus experience in the Grocery, Natural Foods, Agriculture and/ or Dairy Industries is an asset.
• Knowledge and comprehension of the sales cycle and basic marketing concepts.
• Advanced demonstrable computer skills, in particular with MS Office Suite and web- based platforms and technologies, corporate accounting programs such as Sage 50.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to create accurate and timely documentation and data input into online reporting and sales systems.
• Highly organized self-starter with proven ability to multitask under minimal supervision, able to prioritize workloads to meet both internal and external deadlines.
• Strong ability to problem-solve in order to find cost effective solutions, solve customer paperwork and accounting items (invoicing discrepancies, reports)
• Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) with the ability to express and communicate in a concise, direct fashion. Bilingualism in French would be an asset but is not required.
• Highly developed listening and interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders including customers, internal departments (Management, Production, Finance, Sales and Marketing) with pleasant, outgoing and positive personality.
Part time position. 25 hours per week to start with some requirements to travel and be available for special events outside of regular work week of Mon-Fri. Compensation starts at $13.00 per hour for 3-month probationary period and $14.00 thereafter with successful completion of probationary period.
