Whip up a delectable breakfast or dessert in a hurry with this ultra-quick recipe, inspired by the classic, cinnamon roll. Sautéed apples, goat cheese and wraps. It’s easy and delicious!
Ingredients
- 4 gala apples, sliced and core removed
- ½ cup apple juice
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 gluten-free sandwich wraps
- 1 roll (150 grams) Happy Days Dairies Soft Okanagan Goat Cheese
Instructions
Add the sliced apples, apple juice, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon and salt to a medium-sized saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes until apples are soft and liquid is reduced to approximately 1 tablespoon. Remove from the stove, remove the cover and allow to sit to cool for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, spread the goat cheese over the tops of the two gluten-free wraps so that the cheese goes all the way to the edges.
Once apples have cooled, spread over the tops of the wraps.
Carefully roll up the wrap and cut into 8 sections each, with a sharp knife.
Serve.
